Sower79 10 Posted August 8, 2011 Hello I have a question, is it possible to run the game under Ubuntu / Linux? if yes then what to do about it.
sickboy 13 Posted August 8, 2011 Perhaps in Wine/Win3d/Cedega emulation software, or by running windows in a VirtualBox machine or other VM's that support hardware accelerated Graphics. But seeing as arma performance is generally already low on plenty of systems, you probably don't want to use it for anything else but mission editing or testing missions/addons/scripts (.rpt analysis etc). Dual-Boot is currently probably the only way to go if you intend to actually play the game.
Angle 10 Posted August 8, 2011 (edited) Nope. Not using wine. There are some dx9 errors and if you manage to resolve them the the game starts without textures, sound and working interface. However there might be some hope for the future, i tried the take on H: CP and it starts without errors but shuts down due to bad serial (starting the game from its windows install, i think. long time ago i tried).
