Predator999 0 Posted May 26, 2002 Ok heres the deal, i got Falshpoint about 4 months ago .... same problem then thats why i uninstalled it, ok i have USA retail version 1.20 installed i go to apply Ultimate Upgrade 3 to it ..... CD spins ..... patch crashes .... i already e-mailed the company and heres what they said Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services concerning Operation Flashpoint. Your query was dealt with by Rob. a) If you are running any Virtual CD device software (or other CD-ROM tools) - such as Daemon Tools - you should uninstall it. b) The game will not run from a mapped network CD-ROM drive. c) If you have PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) you may also have to uninstall this. d) Try unchecking the DMA box found under your CD/DVD-ROM properties - settings, in Device Manager (Control Panel - System). e) The ASPI drivers for your CD Drive may be corrupt. Links to sites where you can update your drivers are found here: http://www.goldenhawk.com/ide.htm f) Make sure you have the latest firmware updates for your CD/DVD-ROM drive g) If you have a Sound Blaster sound card, disable the CD Detector program. h) If you have a motherboard with a VIA chipset, make sure you have the latest 4 in 1 drivers for it. i) Try changing your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM from a slave device to a master device ok i checked all of it its all right and it still crashed on me Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
