demonized 20 Posted July 16, 2011 For those that are familiar with scripting in Arma, there are the functions of unitplay and unitcapture, wich can record a players flying and then make a AI replay it afterwards. here is the real life version of that i stumbled upon: http://heli.stanford.edu/
Big Dawg KS 6 Posted July 16, 2011 It seems that capturing input is actually pretty common in robotics. It's a little different in ArmA 2 though since the physical movement is captured and not the input.
Nicholas 5 Posted July 16, 2011 Wow, all the students working on it are PhD students. And I can do it myself in ArmA!
noubernou 77 Posted July 16, 2011 Thats a gross understatement... :p Real life presents far more challenges in recording movements because the environment is rarely ever the exact same and compensation has to be made to playback a certain maneuver in different environmental conditions.
