Leon86 13 Posted June 26, 2011 (edited) before you blow all that money on a gpu try to find out if you're cpu or gpu limited. A decent way of doing this is running gpu-z and the task manager in the background and alt-tabbing to see what's heavily loaded. If one of your cpu cores regularly goes over 80% you're probably (also) cpu limited. I run at 2000 viewdistance low model and low terrain detail but shadows high (loads up gpu only) 1920x1200 with 115% 3d res and normal aa, still looks nice imo. I have 2 gtx260's in sli so maybe you'll need to cut back on the resolution and aa a bit. I the viewdistance slider has a massive impact on performance, aa is pretty heavy as well since they implemented atoc aa.
