maturin 12 Posted June 20, 2011 So I was an idiot and tied to remove an ACE module from my mission.sqf without backing it up first. Now the {: doesn't match the :} and I can't load the mission in the editor. The thing is, I think I know where the error is, I just don't know what exactly to type in to correct it. If someone could tell me what to type where, they would be like an sqm hero. Here's my very long mission. The spot that I took a hatchet too should be just about the Intro/Outro section. twirly 11 Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) What text editor are you using?..... I'm using TextPad and when I turn on "show spaces" I get strange characters showing up where tabs should be. The problem seemed to be right there (in red).... I took the shitty spaces out and pasted the code here. maturin 12 Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) Wow, I really managed to screw that shit up. The mission doesn't have BAF materials or IEDs, and was created before those things even existed. I guess I'll just have to re-create it sometime. I tried your version, and it refuses to open in the editor, and without explanation. maturin 12 Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) But there's not a single BAF object on that map. There's nothing but Chedaki and CDF, with no weapons crates or anything. Everything was working fine until I tried to zap that ACE AI talk module. It would have been no problem to remove if I hadn't been impatient. Come to think of it, maybe it would be a better idea to simply lift large portions of this .sqm into the .sqm of a blank mission. It's only the location and init of the Redfor troops that is difficult to reproduce. If I could just get those plugged into a new missions, recreating what I had would take five minutes! I was able to pick out all the Chedaki units and put them in a perfectly clean mission. Recreating the rest is a snap. You all get mentioned in the credits if I release this. Thanks.
