incomplete code block in camera.sqs - since when?

Recommended Posts

Hi there

something has changed during the development and patching since ArmA has been released. I'm running ArmA CO BTW.

Now let me explain.

When using camera.sqs to create intros and so on, the code block which is copied to the clipboard is incomplete.

@camCommitted _camera

this line of code is missing. I don't know exactly since when it does missing.

I encountered this for the first time after I purchased BAF. I'm sure that before the above mentioned codeline was also copied to the clipboard since I did a whole lot of camscripting back in ArmA II and OA.

I didn't notice it immediately, had some troubles with camscripting every time I positioned the camera and copied the codeblock. As a result when using camera in movement the camera didn't stay the desired time in the new position due to the fact that the above mentioned codeline is now missing . It took me some time to figure that out.

Now my question is if that has been introduced intentionally or is that a bug?:eek:

kind regards

p.s. In case I posted in the wrong forum section please move the thread to the appropriate place.

camera.sqs was modified in secret sometime along the way. Honestly, I prefer the code it copies because I make all of my cutscenes in SQF, which requires each line to end in a semi-colon. I used to have to add them all individually, but now I just have to add it to the last line it copies, and then delete the comment.

@camCommitted _camera is a pretty useless command for me. All it does is wait for the camera to reach its next position before continuing. I find always deleting it and using sleep instead gives me much more control.

Thread moved to the appropriate section.
