WilliamAgain 10 Posted June 10, 2011 I have heard it spoken, read about on the wiki, and seen the on/off parameter under the map/task section...yet I have never seen an option to actually fast travel. I am currently playing Dogs of War and fast travel sounds nice, but I see nothing to indicate there even exists an actual button/command that allows this. I generally dislike time compression functions in games because they are likely to create bugs and are unrealistic compared to normal realtime movement. However I would like to help you with this if I could, but there is quite a few information about it. To conclude what I have read in other posts may or may not be correct: It works only in singleplayer. It works in Badlands and Dogs Of War It works only in some parts of the map (for example road starts in villages/towns). It requires road to be clear from obstacles and no enemy inside certain radius It may not work when Razor Team is split up After fast travel there is a bug where one of Razor Team AI members sometimes starts to move to some direction without taking any orders and eventually gets killed by enemy or glitching with objects. You can personally test how many of those claims are true. Also first test it in roads that are leading away from enemies and do not go first trying to fast travel to enemy territory towns/villages. WilliamAgain 10 Posted June 10, 2011 Thank you for the reply, but I am still at a loss as I still do not know how to fast travel. I understand that is only available within certain missions and within certain areas of the map, but how do access and use the feature. Is there a specific place within the HQ/Village that I need to walk to? Is there specific order/menu that I must look under? Am I supposed to access the map and mark locations, if so is there a button/command that I need to look for, etc...As I said above I have never even seen the dialogue/order/menu/option anywhere on my screen when in the areas that supposedly allow fast travel. OMAC 254 Posted June 11, 2011 (edited) It only works in Warfare 2 missions. Go to a captured base, then hit M for map. You must stand or be in a vehicle right next to the main base strongpoint. Select fast travel from map menu at upper left. Green circles will then show on other bases that are under your control. Click on the desired green circle, and travel will begin. You must have a direct line of captured bases along roads for you to travel to them. For example, if there is a base under enemy control between the captured base you are at and the one where you want to go, fast travel is impossible. Fast travel is VITAL to complete Dogs of War without completely losing your mind. Hope this helps. Write back if it does not. Fast travel has generally worked well for me. Sometimes it is temporarily unavailable for some unknown reason, but usually becomes available soon after moving away from the strongpoint and returning.
