I do have an OA retail version, but I would like to know if a person who has a ArmA 2 retail version and buys Impulse OA version will the person end up having Combined Operations? Does it install in the same folder as ArmA 2 retail?

Can we apply the beta patches to Impulse version like we do with he retail one?

Does Impulse works like Steam, you need to have a client software in order to play?

I ask this questions because some of my squad mates still don't have OA, and maybe this was the right time for convincing them...

1. you can use the method here to combine any distribution in standalone folders

yet from next official full update this will be depcreated and supported on engine level

2. use of beta and full patch installers is universal and will work with this distribution too

3. You don't need STEAM nor ImpulseDriven to run A2 nor A2: OA anyway

note: usually ImpulseDriven is less agressive on DRM protected titles so You dont need the application to run
