Spawny25 10 Posted May 23, 2011 Hello, I have been reading a lot of threads about this but I can not figure out why it is not working. I am trying to play a co-op mission with my mate. I created a new internet game without password on port 2302. I opened ports 2302 ,2303 and 2305 (UDP) on my router but he gets a connection failed message. We both can join other games but just not eachother. The message is very plain and not informative at all. I am looking for a checklist where I can check other settings I have to do. I play through steam by the way. I can succesfully host other games btw. Is there a site or a tool which checks if I can be reached on those ports? Anyone have ideas. I primarily bought this game for MP because we had good memories playing OFP.... thanks in advance

Spawny25 10 Posted May 23, 2011 did you open thouse ports on your pc aswell.?it can be a routing issue you have.. you might need to enable nat or port forwarding.. Thank you for your fast reply. I do not have a firewall running on my pc so I do not think there is a need to open any ports on my pc correct?
nuxil 2 Posted May 23, 2011 if you dont have any fw on your pc. all ports should be open. but check your router settings. if its a old router it might not have nat support. or maybe you just need to enable it. or you might need to port forward 2302 on your router to the game pc. IT WORKS! So I want to thank you for your patience but in the end I had to update my routers firmware. After that i was delighted to see my mate successfuly join my session.!
