Badga888 10 Posted May 12, 2011 Hey, Ive had Arma for a while and have done some Warfare senarioes before, my question is, how do you get planes and jets in warfare????? Thanks
11aTony 0 Posted May 12, 2011 Stock warfare does not have jets. You can modify the mission or download Warfare Benny Edition where you can buy jets on airfields or aircraft factory. You can play the mission on your own via creating LAN game as well, just make sure you lower the number of AI teams and AI per team if you dont have very strong CPU. wyskass 10 Posted June 2, 2011 (edited) Stock warfare does not have jets. That's not true. Bear Rising is a warfare scenario in A2. If you capture the airport, specifically the hangar at the airport, you can buy jets there. An airport hangar would work just like a barracks or heavy vehicles plant. Buy a unit and jet appears near it. Get in, take off and there you go. Next step though would be to build a service station at the airport, otherwise you won't be able to rearm after your sortie. I guess you can also use trucks to do that. But basically you need to bring in some logistics for refuel/rearm just like other vehicles. Do you have to have a server to do this, or can you just launch a LAN game of Warfare BE to play alone? Any tips? I have only played Warfare online.
11aTony 0 Posted June 2, 2011 You can just create LAN game. However as said before, in lobby you have slots for players filled with AI. Disable slots to 4 vs. 4 or so by left clicking on them if your CPU is not amazing. Alternatively you can keep amount of slots to have more teams but lower amout of AI per slot in parameters. After game starts, vote yourself as commander. You can build factories via action menu. In action menu you also have "Options" where you can find gear, units and other sub-menus. You can command via High-Command as well if enabled in parameters. You can even launch an ICBM.

wyskass 10 Posted June 2, 2011 There are numerous single player warfare scenarios with A2 and OA. All saveable with no need for any LAN or server issues.
11aTony 0 Posted June 4, 2011 Thanks for this. Can the game be saved and relaunched at a later date? Yes it saves where you stoped playing and can be resumed later.
