There is a mention of it working on win 98 and 2000, but does it work on windows XP? and if it does, where do i extract it?

Yes it works with XP, you can extract it wherever you like, but I put it in C:\Program Files\directx\setup as that's where the rest of the directx crap is smile.gif

Thanks Placebo!

Hope it also fixes the scratching and all the weird noise that comes out of my speakers in some missions... sometimes it makes the sound unhearable... sad.gif

Possibly moving the hardware sound slider will help with that but if it's a soundblaster live or audigy card it's possible there's only so much you can do, of course be sure to have the latest drivers smile.gif

I have SB Live 5.1.

Scratching etc. sometimes occurs in some missions (accurate enough?? biggrin.gif)... im now in Red hammer campaign in mission "Alamo" and it happens alot in that... but there isn't many units around then and my fps is fine.

Actually i dont have normal computer speakers, but a Mini-Hifi system attached to my comp. But i dont think that has anything to do with it??

I'm going for the new LIVE drivers right now! smile.gif
