Have anyone done good artillery mod?

Cpt Moores artillery is only direct artillery....so there anything which simulates indirect shooting....good one smile.gif

i know but they have somekind problem with paladin

and they focused on other projects like M109 ADATS

i only have seen a M109 ADATS on a drawning i never have seen photos on it so it does not exist maybe

there original ADATS is on a M113 or its on a Building

well i was working on ballistic artillery before, and evis was performing seperate tests of his own.

mine seems to be relatively convincing but ai will only fire directly. also to test the ballistics i used the SNAKE model for the projectile, so now i'm hoping to replace that with a shell model made twice as big.

i don't know if the ballistics are completely correct since the computer dosen't use it properly and its range is so long i can't seem to find the area of impact. when i do fire at 45 degrees

i experimented with a friend and were friring the M101A1 beyond visual range.

we did as follows:

i flew a OH-58

he manned the M101A1

he fired at a range where i could see it, an every time i had located the current point of impact, he raised the elevation a little

that worked fine out to 3 or 4 kilometres (don't remember if it was 3 or 4 - but it was rather close to one of them), but after that the point of impact was pretty much impossible to find - it seems like a bug/limitation in the engine or in the configuration of the howitser.

If someone should make a model for use beyond visual range, then it would be nice to have3 one of the following features:

-A field in the HUD (maybe in the hint field) which displays the current aiming direction and elevation. This would enable you to remember a firing solution and use it again.

-or menudriven control of the howitser:

"Raise 1 degree"

"Raise 5 degrees"

"Lower 1 degree"

"Lower 5 degrees"

"Adjust 1 degree left"

"Adjust 1 degree right"

"Adjust 5 degrees left"

"Adjust 5 degrees right"

"Display current elevation and heading"
