Combined Operations without ACE?

Good afternoon gentlemen. Quick question. Is Combined Operations realistic enough to play without the ACE mod?

I have the original ARMA2 WITH ACE and love it. I just purchased Combined Operations but I dont have my own internet access at the moment to download the ACE mod for it (I understand it IS a seperate mod correct?). Its just sitting in the box because I'm thinking that I'll be disappointed if I try and play it without the ACE mod, see what I'm talking about?

Also, would someone be so kind as to lead me to the directions to install the ACE mod for Combined ops for once I DO get internet access? It'll have to be a detailed run down as I'm not the sharpest computer guy around ok. Someone helped me before with the mod when I bought the original ARMA2 but I've since forgotten how it works. Hello and welcome.

Yes CO is realistic enough to play without ACE But the game doesn't have features that ACE adds.

I'd suggest playing the game without mods, and then try mods out and see the difference.

(I understand it IS a seperate mod correct?).

All mods are seperate from the game.

Sure:

Advanced Combat Environment 2 OA - Core (required )

Download from the link, then follow the steps below.

1. Once downloaded, extract the zip file

2. Look for a folder that says @ACE and then move that into your main Arma2 directory.

3. go into the directory where you moved @Ace too, and open the @ACe Folder, look for the store

folder, open it and look for the keys folder, move the keys folder to your main arma2 directory.

4. Also in the store folder look for a zip file that is titled userconfig

extract that, and then move the extracted userconfig folder to your main Arma2 directory.

5. This completes the installation.
