hawk777 10 Posted May 2, 2011 Hi, I have just gotten Arma2, I was looking for more multi-player, co-op missions. I've found many on the internet, however can someone tell me how to load this missions.. I have extracted th PBO files to the multi-co-op folder, however when I went in to load or run them I can't find them...also, I can't find any co-op mission besides the stadard missons for co-op and multi on Arma2, and can you fly a helicopter in co-op or mutiplayer? I need some major help, if you will be patient or show me how I would really appriciate it.
celery 8 Posted May 2, 2011 You put the pbo files in the game's MPMissions folder. Then you can select those missions when hosting a multiplayer game, assuming you meet the addon requirements (e.g. some missions use custom made islands).
hawk777 10 Posted May 2, 2011 Thank You, so, can I fly a helicopter in mp co-op missons? or do I need to put one in myself? Thanks :D
celery 8 Posted May 2, 2011 It all depends on the mission.
hawk777 10 Posted May 2, 2011 thanks again, so one more question, does Arma2 have more mp, co-op missions, I have only found what looks to be the basic..do I have to play the campaign more to unlock missions, or do I need to look in differnt places in the game to load more mp, co-op? I am talking strictly mp and co-op. I don't see many choices with the orginial game, but I can download plenty of them. does Arma2 come with more than 2-3 mp and co-op maps? Thanks
celery 8 Posted May 2, 2011 All the missions are available without unlocking (except for the coop campaign missions in Operation Arrowhead and DLCs). If you want more official missions and campaigns, you can get them with Operation Arrowhead and in BAF and PMC DLCs. Most of the missions are made by users however, and they can be found by browsing the user missions forum or armaholic.com.

MissionCreep 12 Posted May 2, 2011 do you know of a mission generator? or something like that?just curious.thanks The following are all single player: - You can build you own with Arma2's sophisticated editor tools (steep learing curve) - There is a also a randomized mission generator in the Arma main menu, go to Single Player > Scenarios > My Missions - I think the best one by far, IMHO, is Flashpoint by thomsonb. Go to http://www.armaholic.com and under "Query:", search for thomsonb flashpoint
hawk777 10 Posted May 2, 2011 can you edit a single player mission to a co-op or multiplayer? thanks.
MissionCreep 12 Posted May 2, 2011 (edited) can you edit a single player mission to a co-op or multiplayer?thanks. Unfortunately not, in many cases, without a complete re-write (as far as I know). However, many creators now produce co-op as well as SP versions of the same mission. I believe it is much easier to turn a co-op mission into an SP than the other way around. I'm no expert and an actual mission developer would know better than me. Regarding maps, you can download dozens of user maps (Island Mods from armaholic.com). For example, Ghost Recon Island Thunder (available as SP campaign or co-op missions) is set in the tropical jungles of Lingor, for which you need to download mods for (see armaholic.com). Using user maps makes things more complicated because all users need to have installed all the maps and dependencies.
