Pvtpile1981 10 Posted May 1, 2011 (edited) Ive recently been playing the latest release of INV 1944 and the Unsung mod and compared to ArmA II and OA they run terrible, now I do not have the latest and greatest system but it feels like something is wrong when im playing them. I don't know if the mods are just more demanding than my system can cope with or im being an idiot. For example in I44 most of the missions run at between 20 and 30 and sometimes drop way below that and for me thats just unplayable its like a picture show although on the othere hand when I play ArmA/OA online most of the time its runs at a decent playable framerate? Gunter Severloh 2546 Posted May 1, 2011 Hi, Normally you want to post in the forums for those mods your having lag issues, or framerate, or even questions reguarding the mods themself. In general all depends on various things related to the mod, for example, are -you playing missions made by the mods -did you build them yourself? -how many AI have you running around in a mission -what islands have you chosen for missions theres many things that effect the game, some being mod related other number of AI, unoptimized islands, lots of foliage effects fps. Other things unrelated is computer oriented, -like is your hd defragged, -do you have registry errors? ect,,. -can your cpu handle the game -can your gpu handle the game -is your computer overheating/cpu overheating, graphics card overheating Take in consideration the various aspects to running the game in and out, there is no one thing that dictates whether a mod runs good or bad, my opinion but I can say that from experience as well. noubernou 75 Posted May 1, 2011 Sometimes its directly the fault of the mod. In some cases its unavoidable, in others it is. I haven't tried I44 yet, but the number of RPT errors I have heard reported while playing suggests some code that is not implemented well.
