NilSatis 10 Posted March 27, 2011 Hi all, I found a couple of threads about this; no answers; and as I have only tried a couple of times and failed I will post here and hopefully someone will help me. I have updated the game, which is ARMA 2 vanilla to the latest version from the website; it is fully updated and the install went fine. I go to play multiplayer and for reasons unknown to me yet lol It comes up with "Player XXXX (being me) is using a modified ca file" and then i cant join the server. I am only trying to join a server that has the same version as me (green dot) and that is populated. I seem to be able to choose a role etc but then when i connect to the actual game it just goes back out into the server list. Has anyone got a clue as to why it does this? I have no mods installed and this is the first time I have tried multiplayer and have never connected successfully. Is it because I do not have any microphone or communication equipment installed at the moment? What does CA mean? I havent modified anything lol. Yet. Thanks for any help peeps can give, so I can join the online community of what is a great game.
.kju 3245 Posted March 28, 2011 a) Please upload your rpt to a temp host and put a link: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/arma.RPT b) start-run-cmd cd /D c:\pathToArmA dir /S /B > fileList.txt and upload the fileList.txt Or better get http://code.kliu.org/hashcheck and do RMB on the arma folder and create a hashsum list of all files.
