Ozz13 10 Posted March 26, 2011 All my games are purchased through STEAM. I've got Arma 2, loved it. I then got OA, loved it. Purchased the British expansion and found that the missions for the British expansion are available through the regular OA executable. Does this mean I can delete OA or do I need both installed? Can I delete Arma 2 and keep OA as a standalone? I'm a bit confused. I ask only because I could use freeing up some HD space. Thanks!
ArmAriffic 10 Posted March 26, 2011 (edited) you can run a2 without oa or oa without a2 but to play BAF and PMC you need operation arrowhead but arma 2 is not needed FYI for alot of online games you need arma 2 AND oa Edited March 27, 2011 by ArmAriffic
Ozz13 10 Posted March 27, 2011 Got you, thanks for the info. Think I'm going to try to tackle that merging of Arma 2 and OA. That would probably accomplish something in regard to saving space.
Dwarden 1125 Posted March 27, 2011 there is no such saving of space as combining OA and A2 (OA engine loads A2 content) You get A2: Combined Operations which most servers and many mods use as a must thus keep all :)
Ozz13 10 Posted March 27, 2011 Ah, cool.. thanks for the clarification. It's a worthy game and deserves it's footprint on my HD
