solidsnake2384 10 Posted March 17, 2011 I downloaded and installed the newer version of ACRE. Previously I had 2.1.4. Before i even downloaded i was playing Arma 2 CO then I decided to update ACRE to 2.1.5. Ever since I updated it i have not been able to play Arma 2 OA or CO (by the way I bought them off Steam). I probably accidently deleted something or whatever but I dont know. When I try to start OA or CO the rectangle with the small squares shows up but then theres a pop up saying "Arma 2 OA has stopped working checking for a solution to a problem" I restarted my comp and it hasnt stopped since. I have no idea how to fix this (also I have windows 7). I dont know what other info to provide but please help me out. I didnt know what to post this in either the mod section or here, but I thought this section would be more helpful. Also if you need more info please let me know I really want to fix this. ---------- Post added at 12:42 AM ---------- Previous post was Yesterday at 11:43 PM ---------- PS. Im running mods like ACE and maps with a mod launcher. Ive restarted my comp, updated OA today, tried starting without any mods but to no avail. Only Arma 2 works. styxx42 0 Posted March 17, 2011 I have this issue if I am running a Chat client before I launch OA. Make sure you are only launching OA and alt tab out and start up TS3 or Mumble. My buddie was running an Overclock software for his new 6950 Video card that was causing failure to launch. Try and shut down all the extra stuff by your clock. Even disable your antivirus for testing purposes. I would guess it is some piece of software causing an issue with ARMA II. No Fan profiles,heat monitoring software, no Fraps, no VNC, or Hamchi. Shut it all down and then try and launch your game. If it starts then fire one thing up at a time and see how that works. Keep us posted on your success or failure.
