You can typically find the official patches on the Bohemia Interactive site or on Armaholic to name just two. There's probably a few other mirrors as well. As soon as you have patched up, I recommend finding a good clan/community server, those are often more organised and structured than big public servers (although I'm sure there are good ppublic servers too :) ). If you look in the 'Squads and Fanpages' subforum here you should find many different groups you may want to join.
