ordy 10 Posted March 7, 2011 I am trying to play Arma 2 using a Samsung SynchMaster P2770H LCD at 1920x1080 but I am having a problem. When I go into the game I have it set at 1920x1080x32 but the screen flickers like the refresh rate is set wrong. The only other resolution settings are lower and look horrible. I am trying to figure out why the game flickers so badly under the monitors native resolution of 1920x1080. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to set the monitor or the game so it doesn't give that aweful refresh rate flickering effect?
ordy 10 Posted March 16, 2011 I managed to get game to run fine off of my laptop hooked up to this new 27 inch monitor. I still cannot figure out why the game will nor let me run at anything higher than 1920x1080x16 on my main desktop machine. I had to take out my old 24 inch monitor to run the game at a decent resolution. I am running the game with a GTX 480 video card. Is there any tricks I can try with the nVidia control panel? Anyone else have this problem with the 27 inch Synchmaster? I am runnning out of ideas on this one.
SWAT_BigBear 0 Posted March 17, 2011 (edited) Try the adjustments under "Adjust desktop size and position" in the Nvidia CP. It's a must for mine to be set to "Use Nvidia scaling with fixed-aspect ratio". Otherwise I get a redish line on top and left side. Your's may differ, so test all options. 1920x1080x16 Will it not allow to change to 32 bit color? Edited March 17, 2011 by SWAT_BigBear
ordy 10 Posted March 18, 2011 No. That's as high as Arma 2 goes for the new 27 inch LCD. My 24 inch works perfectly. I am stumped. I will try your suggestion. Thanks.
