SAM site

Would be real nice to get a SAM site where the player can only be gunner (like MG) and it fire AA missile using a radar... Technicaly ez to make and im sure you alerdy make some for ur VBS... By the way how much cost VBS? Can we get a quotation?

Now, don´t get mad at me but we could really use some sort of SAM system. Imagine how valuable they would be when making missions and especially where ground units cooperate with army aviation. You would have to disable the SAM before the A10´s move in and so forth. I suggest either the OSA AK (SA-8 Gecko) or the ZRK-BD Strela-10 (SA-13 Gopher). Maybe a stationary system, V750 (SA-2 Guideline) with command post and stuff. =)

and rapiers for the yanks. i know the brits use rapiers, i think we got them off the yanks ages ago so it would probably be realistic

Naaah, the Rapiers are british aren´t they? The americans could get M48 Chaparall since it´s a single unit without external co-units such as radar and stuff. Easier for BIS to implement probably.

RAPIER FCS was manufatured by the british Matra BAe Dynamics, so , yes it´s a British system. Be proud =)

The ME263 is a rather modern German jet that is based on some old specs, yet it cost loads to build and it only has a minigun, looks very much like an A-10, and is a very formidable foe against American planes such as the F-14 (This planes hasn't had a dog fight that it has lost!), and F-15, i'd like to see it slash an F-16!

the bristish built the first p51 which was designed by a german which was then used as an"American" plane all the did was add bubble hood and the same engine "merlin" only american built.

With the current Air craft in OFP adding SAM's could make almost anything in air completly useless...

The range of a good SAM site is well beyond 14km

and anything that tried to fly over a hill in OFP will get shot down too fast....

The A-10's would be kanned, Flying below mountains in Helicopters would be the only way to live.

And with the Shilkas and Vulcans AI being so good at the moment (they can take me out to second im in range) the SAM's would have you down instantly.

Its based on a cliped wing spitfire!!!!
