Wtf is up with the machine gun on the model but not in the game. Take a look at the pics of tank units east on this website and youll know what I am talking about. We need to make those work somehow. Somehow, those models have mgs on the top of the turret shouldnet we be able to fire it like using it as a coaxial but as soon as the hatch goes up so does the gun? kinda like a pop up but I know wouldnt be realistic but wouldnt it work?

First off: We already have coaxial MGs.

Coaxial means that it is mounted alongside the main cannon.

You mean the commanders MG. (Can't remember the official name for it).

Anyway, you can't do it. You can't have 2 gunner slots in the same vehicle. 1 gunner, 1 driver and 1 commander. And cargo places if it's an IFV or APC.

To have the main cannon + the coaxial is possible, because both are mounted at the gunner position, if you understand what I mean. But to have another MG, at another position, no way.

That would be cupola mounted.

And yes, it is the game engines limitations that mean you can't have a cupola mounted MG. It's a shame, but thats just how it is. A small price for a game as realistic as OFP.

you mean like that? scripts are fun, too bad the AI won't cooperate with the turret facing, but my theory is if their models have MGs on top they will simply add another M2 weapon/ammo and make it move like the cannon on the choppers
