madmedic 0 Posted February 27, 2011 Hi... I am truing to GIZMO map a small cilindrical part of a rifle, but I have never really used GIZMO MAPPING before. I did a search on these forums... And, I watched a few YouTube tutorials. Nothing I have found seems to look like what I see when I open the GIZMO MAPPER in O2. All of the tutorials I have found show a GREEN arrow in the GIZMO window. (MINE has a BLUE arrow). I can not rotate the texture (in the GIZMO window) so that it is pointing in the same direction as the arrow... and the arrow will only switch from pointing UP, or DOWN. (It will not point horizonlally) Am I using a different version of the program than everybody else has?
ProfTournesol 956 Posted February 28, 2011 Well, the color of the arrow in the gizmo window doesn't matter. Watch this tutorial made by STGN on the OFP version of Oxygen, but it's ok for your needs : 6_faFIOreOg

Nothing I do seems to work the way it does in that Tut. My textures are stretched, and distorted, and not pointing the direction I want them to.
ProfTournesol 956 Posted March 5, 2011 i'm sorry for you, but you should try again longer, Gizmo is a very weird/unfriendly tool but when you master it, it's great. Try to play with mirror U/V and rotate your arrows (the 3 ones around the p3d object), then hit preview to see what happens.
