tophe 69 Posted February 16, 2011 I was just wondering if there is some collected information on working with save game? What variables, objects, script state etc. are stored when saving? Is it possible to control the save and load data structure? We are just about to start working on a brand big new evo-style mission and we want to make sure it will be able to save properly. Our goal is to make a mission that you could keep playing for weeks with a group of people. I know there has been quite a few problems with saving in these big missions before. Would be very happy for any info on this. Thank you.
RKDmitriyev 0 Posted February 17, 2011 The infamous "saveGame" bug dates back to the OFP era. It may still be around in ArmA2: OA (not sure if anyone's checked). Have look at these threads if you haven't already: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=33333 http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=35582 That's really all I know. tophe 69 Posted February 26, 2011 Thx. I'll look into them. Anyone knows what format the save files are? I want to open them up for reading.
