You're using on-board graphics that don't support the required specs for the game, with shared video memory (which is slower). You won't be able to run this game on that laptop period

No way on earth you will play ArmA 2, let alone any other slightly 3d-intensive game on that integrated GPU.

So do I need to upgrade my GPU ?

You can't really upgrade laptop GPUs. I don't think the laptop even has a slot for a GPU, it only has one for the CPU.

http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/CYRI/ Go here and select arma 2: operation arrowhead from the drop down box, then you will see how much you need upgrading

Thanks so much man for that website my computer can't run arma 2. It passes everything except for the graphic card. I think I would be getting a new graphic card.

Again, I doubt you can upgrade the toshiba satellite's GPU. Anyways, you can't really find mobile gpus anywhere either.

And it is very risky. Your laptop will probably burn up with something like an ATI 5650 or a GTS 350.

And yes you are right I just called Toshiba and they confirmed I can't upgrade it because it is Integrated. Anyway I was saving to purchase an Alienware 17x gaming laptop. I hope that one would run every game I have and would last longer. Again I appreciate your advise.

Unless you really want good looks, I highly un-recommend(?) Alienware, as you can get much better for the price.

Advice:

-If you're going with the Crossfire cards, get a Sager NP8120 instead: http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8120-built-clevo-x8100-gaming-laptop-p-2768.html?wconfigure=yes

It is at max $2000, and has better overall performance once configured.

-If you are going for a single GPU, you may as well buy an ASUS G73Jw or ASUS G53Jw, as they both have GTX 460M GPUs, and i7-740QM CPUs with 8GB RAM: http://www.xoticpc.com/asus-g53jwa1-p-2857.html?wconfigure=yes and http://www.xoticpc.com/asus-g73jwxr1-republic-gamers-laptop-p-2931.html?wconfigure=yes

Those only cost $1400, and with a little bit of configuration, will be $1500. The GTX 460M is around 1-3% slower than the HD5870, which is the GPU of the M17x. But they have 8GB ram, and have amazing cooling.

-If you need more power than the HD5870, but still single GPU: http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8690s1-built-clevo-w860cu-custom-gaming-laptop-p-2884.html?wconfigure=yes

Change the GTX 460M to a GTX 470M, and remove the blu-ray if you don't need it, and the final price is still less than M17x, while having more performance, and better cooling. Then again, the performance gain from GTX 460M to GTX 470M is only around 7%, so the +$300 upgrade might not be worth it.

-If you want the ATI Radeon HD5870M instead of the GTX 460M, you can get an MSI GX740: http://www.xoticpc.com/msi-gx740079us-p-2765.html?wconfigure=yes

It has very awesome performance, and guess what, the GX740 is only $1300 to begin with, and if you somehow configure it to $1700, you have an AMAZING machine.

-If you still want an Alienware M17x, don't get the Nvidia GTX 285M, as it is not as good as the HD5870M

-Alternatively, you can wait for the newest Intel Sandy Bridges to come out in the next month or two, as they will be relatively, but outperform even the best processors.

I simply recommended these laptops for you because they have much better bang for the buck.

Thanks man I think I would wait for sandy bridges to be released I hope it would be better than the i7 processors. When i get it I would still be able to play OA 2. Thanks again for your answers I appreciate it.
