P3d editing

I started doing some P3D editing latly (Just got an usable model :/) and i was wondering if its possible to do the following:

A)Find the exact number of Faces/Vertecies.

B)Than just build to that exact number insted of Editing Other ones.

Is this what people have been doing and is this even possible?

not possible ... eack vertex and face "or just vertexes" have a code attached to them,so if you delete one you will get an error trying to convert back =:/

same if ya add new vertexes

Like M|N|ON said, not possible. The only way is to open up a p3d, shuffle the vertexes and faces around, then stuff it all back into a pbo file.
