Changee in commands (orders) in Operation Arrowhead?

Recommended Posts

Did anyone notice that the commands that the character issues have changed?

1. When ordering "Wait for me" it say "stop", or "halt".

2. When trying to order, for example "2, target soldier" (using the "reveal" key) it says "2, engage soldier".

Why is that? is the functionality changed as well?

Joke: Like a player ever needed to tell the AI to wait for him. LoL :)

Cant say I have noticed that. Dont use the wait order often, or tried manipulations of the order like change formation to get the squad to return to formation faster in contact...

Are you sure its not just you having British trooper among your US squad and they say other stuff? The "Engage" text has been there a while though, its not new.

The "Engage" text has been there a while though, its not new.

"Engage" was there, but not in response to: [select unit] --> [reveal key while pointing on a target]. In OFP, ArmA 1 and in ArmA 2 it triggered the "Target X" command, now it says "Engage" instead.

Is it a change only in the text\sound of the command, or is the functionality different now? Until now, while a unit was under "hold fire", and was given a "Target X" command, it tried to aim at the target and report "ready to fire" when ready. When "fire" or "fire at will" command was given, it fired. Is the process the same now? Just the wording is different?

Moderators, would you please correct the typo I made on the headline of this post? "Changes" instead of "Changee"
