meade95 0 Posted October 24, 2010 (edited) The High Command / Sub Command Mod is obviously a great concept - And is exactly what is need to simulate out cordinated offensive for my BLUFOR units.... However, the control aspect I cannot seem to get a clue to. Being the High Commd....Is there anyway to have better micro mgmt of your Sub Command units?? As is now, they seem to run all over the map once contact is made... With no regard to safety. Nor as to even fighting as a unit even among themselves. They run off (and usually die) individually like idiots.... You can give them waypoints...but once contact is made they simply run around the map with no concept of fighting as a unit.... Is there a way to make your Sub Command (AI controlled) unit move a certain point and NOT go running after enemies once contact is made? JojoTheSlayer 35 Posted October 25, 2010 You can give them additional orders via the 1-9 menus, BUT on the map you can also give them orders you can only give them on the map. To do so for each unit select them, make a way point a bit ahead and right click the way point X to get another menu up. This menu will give you some more options to control them. They will still however try to do there best when in contact. Also keep in mind that you can give HC units targets similar to Squad. Fx-2 menu. You can setup multi way points by holding down the alt or ctrl key, dont remember right now, if you set up a advanced move command with multi way points and the first one being Hold, or similar. You can just cancel that way point later to start the chain of way points. Not really used HC that much, but try to manipulate the system and see if it works in the editor. In my sig there is a link to a voice command profile which also contains HC commands, but there is a Arma 2 mission there as well which has 12 HC units and enemies on the map, triggered via radio, you can test stuff out on even if you dont want to use VAC.
