how do i make fire teams? and companys.. badlands mission

sorry posted this twice but i found out it was in wrong section probly why i got no replies

how do i make fire teams, companys ect... in the command menu instead of having troops in my squad because am having trouble on badlands any help would be great....

You can give soldiers diffrent colors, so you can create colored fireteams.

Select the soldiers you want with F1-F12 then press 9 and the number for the color.

If you want select a whole colored fireteam you only need to press shift + 1 member of the team to select all of them.

I'm having problems with this mission too.

The 2,3,4 squads have no symbol in their box at all. It's totally blank. I've tried assigning them a color but nothing happens. I've tried assigning them as infantry nothing happens.

I'd like one of the other teams to get on the 2 empty pickup trucks but I don't see a way to issue that command. When I know there are targets I'm unable to assign targets to these other teams, only my own team.

I don't see a way to give them waypoints without them immediately heading out.

I've tried going through the high command tutorial but it never moves past the point where I move everyone to the other side of the village.

What's going on here?
