Does OPFOR AI's avoid taking cover in villages?

With the exception of the Zargabad map, I notice that in almost every mission (official and user created), enemy AI's prefer to fight from mountains and hilltops. Even when you're in a village they prefer to surround you from the mountains and don't bother coming down. Could it be just because of where the AIs were made to spawn when the mission was created?

Possibly, although it could also be related to issues with pathfinding. I saw enemies in villages though - certainly attacking me and sometimes even taking cover (leaning, etc.), so I think it was working, for the most part.

No, i didn't find that phenomena. I only know that official AI will not hind themselves in houses unless you use GL4 or SLX.
