FPS very unstable

Hello

I have a question regarding my FPS playing Operation Arrowhead. I have FPS around 60 and even when I just stand and look at one direction without doing anything and have any other activity going on my FPS drops to 50 and then going up to 65 which causes some problems.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Even if 50 FPS is good it causes some minor lag when I have this unstable FPS.

I would be very thankfull for any help :)

Disabling vertical sync removes that lag and jumping fps, go to your driver settings and disable it here

Its already turned off so it must be something else but thanks for your help.

then its the game streaming from HDD which causes a lag spike. Try defragging with perfectdisk, and use gamebooster see if it helps.

I did everything that you said but still I have this very annoying unstable FPS ups and downs.

Do you guys think that it could be better if I make a fresh install instead?

I have tones of addons right now.

You must also set the power management in control panel to full performance on vista/7.

If i was you I would go to bios and disable all cool&quiet/C1E to make sure the CPU is at full power all the time, and raise the multiplier a little as you have black edition. then do a full reformat with newest drivers and make sure power management/vsync is set correctly and game directory defragged. Also dont forget the cpuCount & exThreads shortcut tweak.

If that doesn't work then something is wrong with the gfx settings or hardware.
