Archamedes 10 Posted August 31, 2010 On our regional news here in the UK the other day, some army top brass wanted the new call of duty banned because a level in the game required you to kill coalition troops. I mean yeah its perfectly okay to shoot everyone else, but as so long as the holy coalition forces aren't touched its okay. as soon as i saw that news report the first thing i thought was "well done, you just gave this game all the controversial advertisement it needs to sell out right away." if theres anything people like more than a good open ended fps game its controverisal offensive games that give kids bonors. Back on topic. I think a story surrounding 2 brothers would be a great idea. one wants to be a doctor, the other gets brainwashed by the local takiban/taliban. Both follow different paths and we actually see some geniune reasons why the taliban are so angry and the actual reasons why they are fighting. after all its not like "theres nothing better to do" they actual have a reason they believe is justifiable for their actions. anyhow later in the story, the new jihadist taliban ends up coming face to face with his now doctor brother. Does he press the button as he is required by his new taliban friends, or does he give in to reason and give in to his brother, betraying the taliban and end up becoming an enemy of the enemy. That on its own could be a great campaign with a lot of story telling even if it holds little action. You can make the most action packed game an emotional ride if scripted right and the correct dialogue is used.
