Waypoint Conditionals, Triggers detecting presense

Recommended Posts

Hi

I was just wondering how to make waypoints obey conditional rules can't seem to get it to work :/.

Also how do you make triggers do a presence check. Both for a faction and also for a single unit such as "Jet1".

Thanks alot

Dan

For the presence check, make the trigger and then group it to the unit. You'll then get a few options - Off the top of my head, I think it's Any Group Member, Group Leader, Vehicle, could be wrong though.

What problem are you having with waypoint conditions, exactly? The way that it works is that the group will move to the waypoint with a condition and then wait until the condition is true to move on to the next waypoint. Note that some waypoint types have built-in conditions (e.g., Sentry, Destroy) that must also be met in order for the group to move on to the next waypoint, regardless of whether or not your custom condition has been met. Other waypoint types, such as Hold and Guard, are never considered complete; a group that is on one of these types of waypoint must be manually instructed to proceed to the next waypoint either through scripting or a switch trigger.
