Can't start ofp anymore

Recommended Posts

My friend can't start Flashpoint since yesterday, he said: he was playing yesterday morning normally then stopped, shut down the pc, after some hours he started Flashpoint and now he is getting this error:

Read: Data file seek error (obloha.p3d: -1,10628202)

I told him to reinstall Flashpoint again but it didn't solve his problem...

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Mohamz

That file is coming from inside Data3D.pbo. Try turning on/off HW TnL to use the 'other version' of the same file.

Check that virtual memory,  I've had problems with <500mb manually set.

Be paranoid, scan-disk then reinstall the game again, make sure the old files are not there (eg. rename or delete the old files).

Hi,

thank you both!

It seems that it's HW T&L!

When we disable it it works, but what is so strange is that it sometimes work WITH HW T&L :/

Perhaps it's the Graphics driver... or Windows smile.gif (It's a long time since he didn't reinstall Windows)

Perhaps BIS could just tell us what the problem could be(from the error message)?!!

Probably just an error in the file.

Like I said we've reinstalled the game from the original cd.

We tried now to reinstall the detonator drivers and it seems to work(even with HW T&L) but again, the game worked sometimes even before we reinstalled the drivers, so let's wait and see!

Thank you all for your help!
