Combined Operations New usew question

I just purchased Combined ops and am a first time Arma 2 player.

So far I have only installed Arma II and patched to 1.07. It runs beautifully smooth in campaign mode on my 17 930 + ATI 5850. I am currently in the beginning or a Red Harvest campaign.

My question is, should I install OA or will its performance issue ruin my regular Arma 2 experience. Should I play thru original Arma 2 first, and then install OA? Or does OA give some enhancements to vanilla Arma 2?

For what it's worth. OA gave my system a slight performance increase. And OA adds a tremendous amount (though, if you are in the A2 campagin, maybe not so much for that....you could always finish that, then install OA). You definitely will be happy with OA.
