Proper way to edit "profile" and save it?

What is the proper procedure for saving your edited "profile" within Mydocuments / ARMA2 folder?

1. Open your profile with notepad.

2. It opens. You can from there edit differing values.

3. Click "save" or "save as" ??

4. You want to save it as "all files".

5. What do you save it as UTF-8 or ANSI???

Also when adjusting "precision" ratings. These are by default set to an 8 or 9 digit number. Be it, .55210000 or .8100006 (something along these lines).

If you adjust these to say .45 (should you still keep it the 8/9 digit length??) meaning it would look like .45000000.
