Changing positions ingame?

I've searched this forum, but couldn't find anything close to it. I recently went to play VBS2 lite, and found out that you could change your position(EG. from gunner to driver) ingame. It would be great for people playing in singleplayer where the AI would just do nothing. Why didn't BIS added this?

Use teamswitch [t] button. First you have to make the gunner playable off course.
