kohlenhydrat 10 Posted August 3, 2010 Hello, at first sorry for my terrible english, but i hope you get what i wanna say. With the release of Arma2: OA buildings started to get a real new small combat place, but their is no easy, fast and quick way to place NPC unit's in buildings, which is realy sad because it would improve that gameplay and missionmaking in several ways. For this i request the possibility to place unit's in building objects via mission editor, perhapes like in way of this: Open Mission Editor -> Right click on the building which opens the bulding map in a popup (their should be a dropdown menue for selecting the different stages like floor one, floor two, roof), where i can place the NPC units. A building object with units in it, should be marked with a color on the map.
Darkhorse 1-6 16 Posted August 3, 2010 You can currently place units inside buildings... You just have to take a minute to go in-game and find where you want him, and then you put a single code into the units init line. Go to the ArmA 2 Editing subforums, and go to the mission making section. Then search "units in buildings" or something similar.

It's what we germans call in the open source world "friggeln". I suggest a clean and solid editor solution
luckyhendrix 10 Posted August 3, 2010 Or even simplier put a waypoint on the building and choose a position in the drop down box.

ben_s 11 Posted August 3, 2010 The A2 mission editor has not been too user friendly since day 1. And I doubt it will change. Its easy to use, and can create fun missions quickly and simply. Thats what it was designed to do, and it does it.

luckyhendrix 10 Posted August 3, 2010 It it one of the most user friendly editor I know, and it has certainly the best possibility/complexity ratio. Anyway, putting IA in random place in the house won't work very well cause IA is totaly unable to move in building without using the built-in positions. kohlenhydrat 10 Posted August 3, 2010 best possibility/complexity ratio. so you dont share my opnion that the process i described in my first post would make the mission editor better?
