krypthon 10 Posted August 1, 2010 hi, just bought downloaded and installed arma 2 oa. to my surprise when i try to start the game i get a message telling me that no dvd drive was found! when i activate a virtual dvd drive (no emulation) i get a message that the original dvd is not inserted. there is also a link to securom site. also upgrading to 1.05 works but when i want to install the 1.05 to 1.07 patch i get an error message that installation does not exists or is corrupted. i bought from gamersgate thanks for the help Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I bought ArmA 2 Combined Operations and British Armed Forces on Gamersgate, I downloaded the things and then installed them all by starting with ArmA2, patching it to 1.7, installing Operation Arrowhead and patching it to 1.5.4 and eventually installed BAF. Due to a corrupted patch, I had to rince and repeat so teh whole operation took some hours. After all that time, I was eager to play but Murphy choose that time to strike and I faced the message that tell me that the disc is not to be found and ask me to insert the original CD/DVD "ArmA2_OA_retail". As even He (Google) didn't knew and that I haven't been able to find a decent solution (I could apply a beta patch but I want to play online and so, as far as I know, must use a non beta build). Ironically, Pirates are not facing such issues so I'm wondering if I really have to use a NoCD crack to enjoy a game that I bought?
