Night strike (spoilers)

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Night Strike is the solo mission where you have to gain entry to an enemy base and blow up the armor

This is just the first bit of the mission, because some people find covert ops hard to do.

The darkest side of the camp with the least lights is the best way in; common sense really. That is the side where the officers and married quaters houses are; not the brightly lit side with the workshops. It also means you do not have to cross the brightly lit main east west road in order to aproach and destroy the armor.

You have one real problem a sniper in the SW watch tower.

First things first. The rifle is a suppressed not silenced. Use the rifle if you get into a fight; use the M9SD silenced pistol for covert kills so you stay out of a fight.  wink_o.gif

There is a guard who walks the outer perimeter of the fence be aware of him.

Approach

Run down into the valley so you are in real cover, run under the bridge then go up the valley side at about Grid Ref FJ(2),25(6) brackets denote dividing the ArmA grid squares by a further ten per grid square. This is about at the text that says "Pesadas" there is some concealment in the trees and bushes there, you need to be crawling at this point. Keep those between you and the SW tower guard; beware of the bridge Gate Guards and the roaming perimeter guard.

Now move along the fence which provides both cover and concealment to your left. Because it covers your sound of approach as well as visual cues you can get right up next to the guard if you wanted too. You do not need to  wink_o.gif

Crawl along the fence till just before you reach a set of bushes. Move out in sideways crawl with your M9SD drawn and sights up. You should be in a position where the neck of the target is just above the top tower fence bar.

Aim at his head at breath hold; double tap he is dead. Listen, hear that? No alarm you have done it.

Now move to the south fence about a 1/4 of the way down is an opening.

I leave the rest to you.

Kind Regards walker
