Contact information: Website About Us The 45th Detached Reconnaissance Regiment (45th OpSpN) is a multinational ArmA 3 Military Simulation Unit. We are based on the independent 45th Detached Reconnaissance Regiment of the Russian Airborne Troops (VDV). We have had enough of the many Western-NATO-Bluefor orientated units out there and want to provide a REDFOR alternative which still meets a high level of professionalism and in-depth MilSimming. The unit holds official operations every Sunday at 17:00 Zulu time and additional trainings are hosted throughout the week between operations. Backgrounders We invest a lot of time in the creation realistic backgrounding stories, news articles about the political and strategic situations. The fictional universe creates a realistic atmosphere adds to an overall “feel†that our Operations are not random, but a small part of a much larger conflict and allows for a much higher degree of immersion bordering role-play interactions with civilians and enemies. Impression The 45th OpSpN is not 100% accurate to Russian army structure. Real unit SOP’s, Tactics, Techniques and Procedures are not available to the public and furthermore is very fluid and open for the individual units customization. For this reason the 45th OpSpN is based around a standard NATO platoon structure. However we pay attention to the realistic aspects surrounding the units uniforms, equipment and vehicles and extensively research the sources available to us to give the best and most accurate impression that Arma 3 can provide for us. For this reason this is not a light mod unit, but with our ArmA3Sycn repository downloading and updating our unit mod pack has never been easier. Geography We are centered around Central Europe, but we accept all nationalities, provided that their ping and attendance can meet the unit expectations. Serious Fun When reading the above one might come to the assumption that 45th OpSpN is a very strict and serious unit – in some aspects we are. Because we know each and every member of the unit, the general atmosphere is very tolerant and open. We cherish both individual initiative and understand that real-life comes first and that we are all here to have fun. Theres a time for fooling around, making jokes and trying of all new stuff and there's a time for putting on your game-face and to become a soldier. We manage to succeed in the difficult task of finding the right balance of fun and serious. Sunday Operations and Trainings are considered a time for everyone to be serious and every other game, day or session is relaxed and “unorthodoxâ€. Expectations We focus on quality before quantity. This policy has resulted in a unit in which every member not only does what he’s asked to do, but is able to take initiative within the borders set by the CoC. Only because of the strong sense of responsibility of each and every one of our members are we able to attain a very high standard in our unit. There for we pay much attention to the individual members and do our best to make sure that it will be noticed, rewarded and recorded. 45th OpSpN Accepting New Members
SeaHawk123 replied to SeaHawk123's topic in ARMA 3 - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
UNIT UPDATE I can proudly announce that we have successfully changed our server hosting and began using a dedicated server box. This has opened up new opportunities for our unit such as hosting a public server and having our own fast mod repository. Although our public server is not fully ready to be hosted we do now have the ability to host an operations server with 60 slots. Moreover the new server power and capacity has opened up a new role within the unit, [iS] Interaction Squad members, although at low demand at the moment this role is open to the public and does not require as much commitment to the unit. These members may be called upon whenever required in our campaign to fill out interaction roles such as civilians, high value targets or general enemy combatants. This role provides the infantry members of our unit with a different perspective of ArmA 3 gameplay by opening potential player versus player scenarios where the behaviour and tactics of enemies are more lifelike and more challenging. Our new mod repository has also allowed us to bring in a bigger and better mod pack for our members which includes new uniforms, helmets, weapons and much more. Although we are patiently waiting for the release of RHS: Armed Forces of the Russian Federation we are actively looking to make our equipment as realistic as possible. Below are a couple of pictures of our new equipment load outs. Rifleman LMG Marksman More load outs are available to our members on our operations server and we give our members the opportunity to customize their character by giving them choices over the camouflage uniform, vest, body armor or helmet they wear. As always we are looking to add more members to our group, specifically we are looking for more infantry members, however all applications are open. APPLY NOW! -

JSRS: DragonFyre -- WIP Thread

First of all great work! However I do have a question, is there any way to make buildings block sounds or muffle them in fact? It would just bring a whole new level to urban warfare while using this mod. -

Is there any possibility this can get integrated with the Ivory IL76? Or does anyone know how to make it work with it?
