  1. Regarding the above stuff here, I've got several blood splatter .png files with a transparent background but when I specify that folder and run ImageToPaa from the Arma 3 tools it says ready, I click on convert, popup about convert all of them blah blah, the progress bar files up then the status says "Ready" but nothing else happens. What am I missing? Do I close the ImageToPaa now and use something with FileBank? Also after I run the conversion when I open the folder with the blood files in it and click properties they still show up as .png so am I doing this whole thing wrong? Any help would be appreciated! Taken from: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?179337-Pictures-containing-partial-transparency-amp-kept-same-visual-dimensions-for-any-res I'm assuming this is with the dimensions of the .png files but how would I check/change them? Sidenote: I realize this post was created in May but the last response was still in August so I hope this isn't too much of a bump... 8/28/14: Okay disregard the above I figured it out. One last problem I'm having though, how to you get the texture to be flat like it is on the ground rather than vertical?
  2. Thank you so much for this and for the descriptive comments as well. It all makes sense its just me figuring out how to think of these things on my own! Thanks again
  3. Hey guys I know this is an old thread but I have my own related question that I didn't want to create a new thread for. The setup is that I have a night mission which you are going to be airdropped in supplies after marking the LZ with IR beacons. I want to have the player throw the IR markers where designated which is linked to a trigger that allows for them to access the support requester module for an airdrop. While I have messed around in the description.ext file and have set a few init commands I otherwise have zero scripting knowledge so what kind of script I would need and how/where I would put it is all greatly appreciated. Thank you for any help!
  4. I agree with this post to a degree. It's definitely frustrating at first when you enter the editor and have grand ideas about what you want to do and realize you have no clue where to start. But with lots of googling and wiki/forum searching slowly things come together and it's a great feeling when you can get your ideas worked out. Especially with only little help and guidance. Obviously I'm a n00b on the forums but Arma is by far the most rewarding game I've ever played. I played Op Flashpoint Dragon Rising on 360 and while it was terribly unpolished I knew I wanted something like that. Arma was next on the list :)
