  1. Awesome thanks so much!
  2. screens look awesome great work!!!!
  3. This is a noted issue on the forum that the panzershrek currently crashes the game. Just do not use it. According to the mod developers it is going to be fixed in their next patch however if you read a few comments above, there is no ETA for patch release at this time and he recommends you play the A2 CO version of the IFA3 mod if you want to play the campaign at this time.
  4. @Kju Any idea when the new IFA3 patch is coming? I know you said it will contain a fix for the panzershrek crashing the game and I am eager to play the singleplayer campaign but can't yet, due to the panzershrek coming up in the early training segment of the campaign.
  5. @mtheld0414 No problem glad you figured it out and yes to fix the sound make sure you download the hotfix files off of the megamirror. The link to it is available here: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?180218-Iron-Front-Liberation-1944-community-patches-(Arma-version-only .... just follow the link for the mega mirror community patches and the hotfix files for the sound are available there as well. The instructions for where to place each of those 3 files is posted by Kju in an earlier post on this thread can't remember exactly where but it shouldn't be too far back. If I can help with anything else just let me know!
  6. @mtheld0414 so far as the conversion tool goes, when you start it up a window will pop up. Completely ignore that whole part on the left talking about generating an argument. For your purposes you do not need it. For IronFront location you want to make sure that it is finding your IronFront install folder. The place where you had your computer install the game. Whether that is on your C:\ or D:\ or whatever drive plus the exact folder of the install. In my case I installed it through steam onto my D:\ drive so for me IronFront location is D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IronFront however if you do not use steam or have it installed on a different drive yours will be different. Make sure to find your install location and make sure it is correct in the conversion tool. Now the part you will have to change is for your Arma 2 location and Arma 2 OA location. In this instance it does not matter where those games are installed, what you need to do is set both of those paths to your Arma 3 game folder. So just like with your IronFront path, you will need to find out exactly what path and where you have Arma 3 installed. For me it is D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Arma 3 once again your path will most likely be different dependent on which drive you use for games and whether or not you have steam. Bottom line is you want to make sure that both Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA location is actually set to your Arma 3 folder. That way all the necessary files are converted from your IronFront folder into your Arma 3 one. So far as the temp folder is concerned you really don't have to worry bout it. The converter just creates a temp folder in order to aid in transferring the files so I would just leave it wherever it has as default. Once you have all the paths set correctly hit Create IF Arma and let the tool run. You do not ever start the mod with the start mod button on there, you start the mod using the automatic bat file in the downloads after you have ran the patches on the downloads section. Once you convert the folders with the converter you are done with it. Also if you were having an issue with files missing etc I would strongly suggest you completely delete Arma 3, IronFront, Arma 2, and Arma 2 OA and do a fresh install to make sure you aren't missing any files. Be sure to delete the existing folders etc. As a side note, if you are having difficulty patching IronFront, Arma 3, Arma 2 OA to their necessary patches before this whole process (as the install directions tell you) Then you might consider getting steam if you don't already have it. It is free and you can link your games that you already own to it for free, and it will automatically patch and update all of your games. Plus it makes it much easier to know where all your games are installed. Anyways hope that helps and isn't too confusing. If you need more help just ask and try to explain exactly what your having trouble with so I can try to assist. @iKeaster which problem that I had? As I had many LOL... are you talking about a converter problem or problem with the patches? And which fixes did you try that did not work? How did you do the fixes exactly?
  7. @mtheld0414 and iKeaster - I don't know how to make a video of it but I struggled getting it all to work as well. It is great now that it is working though! Where are you confused and I will try to help?
  8. O im not trying to rock the boat or complain I understand this is a work in progress and I thank you for your effort and anyone else who has contributed! Just wanted to let ikmn know he's not alone with that issue and just bring it to attention. I apologize if this is not the place to bring those things up, I'm really new to all this :/ I wish I could help ya with it in my free time but I haven't the first clue how to do what you guys and gals are doing. In any case keep up the good work and I will keep an eye on the changelog from now on. Also if there is anyone else reading through all this and is a newb to modding (as I am!) and would like some help with trying to get it working manually I would be happy to share what I have learned. Just ask Also on the mega mirror there is a AiA misson hotfix from 6/1... what is that for? The blitzkreig fix is for a seperate mod correct?
  9. i know i have the latest one available on the downloads I didnt use playwithsix at all and I am having the same problem as ikmn. Halftracks and such are all fine. However I also noticed most of the tanks just have idle noise, it doesnt change when the tank is moving
  10. Yes now that I finally have the mod working I get the same issue it is a high pitched noise in the german medium tanks when the engine is on and only when you are in first person (inside vehicle view) 3rd person engine sounds fine. So far it is the only major glitch I have found aside from not being able to play through the campaign because of the panzershrek bug but that is already noted. O and I have everything fully patched and updated those sound files in the mod folder as well
  11. ok so I ran the conversion tool directing A2 and A2OA files to A3 folder so now I have "@AllnArmaStandalone, @CBA_A3, @IF, @IFA3, @LIB_DLC_1" all of them have different files contained in their addons etc. However still no go with the patches the error i get says "Iron Front for Arma 3 Patch is not installed on your computer or installation is corrupted" I even went as far as completely uninstalling all the games and then re-installing them and starting from the beginning so I can't see there being a corruption issue. I tried placing the patches inside the game folder as well. Im stumped ---------- Post added at 01:45 ---------- Previous post was at 01:23 ---------- ok so I ran the conversion tool directing A2 and A2OA files to A3 folder so now I have "@AllnArmaStandalone, @CBA_A3, @IF, @IFA3, @LIB_DLC_1" all of them have different files contained in their addons etc. However still no go with the patches the error i get says "Iron Front for Arma 3 Patch is not installed on your computer or installation is corrupted" I even went as far as completely uninstalling all the games and then re-installing them and starting from the beginning so I can't see there being a corruption issue. 12. ahhhhh ok so I can either leave it as it is now and just patch A2OA or i need to have it drop all the conversion files into the A3 directory. I knew something wasnt right ok ill try that and see how it goes ---------- Post added at 21:16 ---------- Previous post was at 21:02 ---------- you leave the Ironfront directory as default with the converter correct? or change that to A3 as well?
  13. well I have attempted to follow the manual install instructions... so far from what I can tell the conversion tool is just adding two empty folders into my arma 3 folder. and the patches are saying that I do not have the patch installed or the file is corrupted. Well yes of course I cannot have the patch installed IF THAT IS WHAT IM TRYING TO INSTALL!!!!! UGH this is frustrating. I believe I have manually installed IFA3 to my Arma 3 folder through those available .7z files at the bottom of the https://dev.withsix.com/projects/lib-issue-tracker/files. I installed and then overwrote them in successive order. I dont know why these patches arent working
