Mines are a horrible thing. Ukraine is full of mines after the second world war and now the separatists have set up even more mines. While they slow down the army they will remain for decades and pose a big danger for civilians. I know of two cases where children have blown themselves up with mines in Charkiv myself. A group of kids have found a mine in the forest and then tried to blow it up on a graveyard, killing one and making another one disabled. The other case was kids that took a mine (Again from WW2) to school after finding it and then stored it in their desk. It went off during class. There are already multiple reports of kids dying due to the separatist mines.

Poroshenko said that he wants Crimea back, but not with war. He said that relations to Russia will never be the same as long as Russia occupies Crimea and that he hopes it may return due to the pressure from the EU and the US. Going to war with Russia is suicide. The army is still ill equipped and struggles to provide basic needs, however much more of the military has been mobilized and the majority of the soldiers are volunteers, fighting for free and providing equipment (exept for weapons) for themselves, with the population supporting them with money and supplies. -.-

Apparently the ukrainian army is using Abrams tanks, Apache helicopters and F22 Raptors, or at least thats what the rebels claim. NATO says Russia could be poised to invade Ukraine Russians struggle to find Crimea or even Ukraine on a map.

The separatist territory is pretty small and considering we have reports from everywhere, that civilians are struggling to get anywhere, it still sounds really high. Wow, the driver has got some balls!

Doesn't 730,000 sound kind of high? That would be almost the entirety of Donetsk. ---------- Post added at 21:09 ---------- Previous post was at 21:05 ---------- The Tigr has a 20 inch barrel, the SVD has a 24 inch barrel. That is the most obvious difference, the are probably more in the details, but that would take an expert. BBC rebuffs Russian state complaint over Siberia march

I could of course start arguing that the civilian Tigr only has a 20 inch barrel, but that would once again end in an endless cycle. The hypocrisy is indeed funny, by the way.

What are you on about? The SVDK was introduced 2006 into the russian army and was never exported anywhere. Edit: On a second look it looks more like an SVDM, which is a russian weapon as well. http://ukrainewarlog.blogspot.nl/2014/08/russian-soldiers-commit-torture-war.html http://ukraineatwar.blogspot.nl/2014/08/graphic-warcrime-pow-tortured-and.html

Well, have fun I guess, but this is not the first time they left documents in their tanks or with their weapons. There even was a huge exhibition in Kiev (Maybe its till there), where the army presented all the captured weapons, tanks, passports, id cards, documents and so on and everybody can see. Also, even if there are no documents with the tanks/btrs, a serial number is still present and if you try to remove it it will be very visible and obvious, so the documents make little difference. And even if they did somehow buy all their tanks, btrs, aks, buks, iglas, rpgs, explosives, russian rations and so on in local shops, how do you explain the weapons that simply didn't exist in Ukraine?

What conspiracy theories? Those are trophys captured from the separatists and the army is simply presenting them! The SVDK is purely a russian made weapon and only used by russia. There is not a single SVDK used by the ukrainian army, exept for the ones they captured from the terrorists. The BTR has russian documents and is signed by russian officers (the yellow sticker). The Ural was produced in 2010 and has again russian documents and numbers. The tank is a T-64B, a modification that russia has enough of standing around. Ukraine uses T-64BM and T-64BM-2 tanks. Another captured T-64 turned out to be a T-64BV and had documents and serial numbers saying that it was issued to the the 205th infantry brigade of the russian army. We also have satellite images showing that countless tanks have been moved over the border from russia. Considering what kind of things russia has accused Ukraine of without any proof at all, I feel more than justified accusing them of supplying the separatists. This is not some random conspiracy theory, we have a lot of evidence. Oh, turns out the satellite images russia presented were fake: Who may have guessed?

Ever heard of a magic substance called paint? No? Oh and surplus Humvees are just very cheap and superior to old UAZ cars. And no, not all of the vehicles are captured from the separatists, just the one they present. But I guess that is too simple and doesnt contain enough conspiracies for you?

Russian special services have likely spread false rumors with the help of social networks about forced conscription in Kharkiv. - Sudden appearance of rumors of forced conscription through new accounts. - Sudden rise in rating of the posts - Other pro-russian accounts (Likely bots. Yes, they really do exist.) pick up the story and link to the original fake rumor.
