    Roads not appearing ingame

    I never even knew TB had a "make roads" tool... But not surprising it doesn't work, seems to fit with a lot of other things BIS releases. ---------- Post added at 03:00 ---------- Previous post was at 02:56 ---------- I was having this same issue also a little while earlier, and yes pboproject fixed my issue. Make sure that you used the polylines and setup the database properties correctly then export the shapes to where you want typically "P:\yourfolder\data\roads\roads.shp" and then in your terrain config.cpp find where it says "newRoadShape" and place the path to the shape file you just exported then pack it all with pboproject. And when you load the map it may look like the roads aren't there but you need to zoom in on the map and they should show up. Not sure yet why you need to zoom in I have to figure that out.

    Arma 3 Custom map texture problem

    I have had this problem before. They are correct it is something with your textures and/or clutter so check over you rvmat files layers.cfg and the cfgSurfaces and cfgClutter make sure they are all good. If they are all good then let me know. ---------- Post added at 02:22 ---------- Previous post was at 02:17 ---------- Also I typically place my layers.cfg file in a folder called source, and name it layers.cfg. I'm not sure if that really matters or not. But that is just what I have always done. EDIT: When it gives you that error you have chosen the wrong files. You chose the configuration for your terrain. You are supposed to have a files called "layers.cfg" and it will look something like what is in the image below. http://i.imgur.com/6ZBcquy.png?1 (142 kB)

    AppleGate Community Project WIP

    So I am wanting to port it over but I don't have like an xyz file for the terrain and I'm not all the familiar with pew files so any pointers? EDIT: I believe I found the wrp from Opteryx so I should be fine.
  5. Ok, so I decided to use terrain builder an place objects on my newly created map... I am using bridges from a custom mod and obviously you can't place them while they are in a pbo. So I extract the pbo and place it on the map, and then once I go ingame I have to have the pbo extracted still and can't used the pbo version of the mod... Anyone know how to fix this? Sorry it is kinda hard to explain.

  7. ok so I extracted the pbo e76_roads.pbo and the prefix says "prefix=e76_roads" so i just put the it here "P:\e76_roads\" and then all the files go in there?
  8. Hey guys, so I am pretty much new to all this and like usual you always want something that isn't available. Well anyways the map I want is for ArmA 2 and not for ArmA 3, there have been communities that have ported it over and they have modified it for their purposes. What I want to do is just port of the original map so that I can use it and maybe later on modify it myself. So you are probably wondering what map I am talking about, that map would be AppleGate... I am not exactly sure where to start besides setting up the software I need. I have my tools all set up (the ones I know of). So if any of you have a guide or could make a guide or anything at all I would appreciate it!   9. I am assuming these are Arma 3 buildings that you are using for the map? Because I have been looking for a good map to use as a new Arma 3 Life map but need usable houses.
  10. So I'm not exactly sure how to get this to work either. I put the switcher line in the missions init.sqf but it doesn't seem to change anything. I figured I needed to do something with the start_satellite.sqf, but what I have tried hasn't worked so I'm clue less.
