How do I close fences and what not without object ID?

Hi All! I am trying to port an ArmA 1 mission to ArmA 3. So far I have successfully replaced all units,weapons, magazines, and markers using 3rd party mods. However, there is a BI sound that I need as well. Am I allowed to package the original ArmA 1 dialogue (ogg) with the mission, or do I need to redub it myself? Thanks for the help!

Hello All! I am here to announce the development of the East Wind 2020 campaign for ArmA 3. This is an edit of the existing Bohemia Interactive campaigns "Prologue" and "East Wind". The campaign will replace the vanilla ArmA 3 units with assets from both the CUP and ALFR. As a tasty treat for you today, and in celebration of this announcement, I would like to present for your gaming pleasure "Prologue 2020", the edit of the Prologue campaign. Please let me know of any bugs that you encounter, and I hope you enjoy! Update 1 I repacked the Prologue Campaign as a mod. This will make the conversion process much easier for me, and all future updates/additions will be given under this mod. It will also allow me to make an attempt at cleanly converting the Single Player showcases and multiplayer game modes. The mod replaces the Arma 3 campaigns in the menu (right now it is just the Prologue). Any campaign that it replaces has the suffix 2020 appended to the end of the Campaign Name. However, the mission will retain the same name. All units at this point should be swapped with the exception of the AAF Officer, which will not be replaced as I have no replacement for it. You will also notice that the RCO scope appears quite often. I have had a hard time tracking down the code that does this, but I will issue a fix when I find it. At this point, the Bootcamp campaign should be at it's final state with the exception of the RCO bug, so please report any and all anomalies! I'll post some screenshots and gameplay this afternoon. Possibly along-side some of the Showcase Scenarios :ph34r:. The main campaign conversion is coming along nicely; the only bump so far has been getting the hubs to work, but I think I almost have it sorted. I am using a Python script to automate the conversion process. If people are interested, I may slap a GUI on it and release it. -

Hi NoFu, sorry about the very very very late reply! It is not a replacement config, but a python script that scans the files and replaces classnames. I may upload it soon, but it is very rough.

Hey guys, I always wondered what ArmA 3 would look like had BIS kept contemporary units. Well, thanks to RHS, now we can find out! I have done unit replacements for the first four showcases, and I have to say, so far it looks pretty darn good. I can't take credit for the missions, that was all BIS. All I did was swap the original units out for the RHS ones. I will not be converting the DLC showcases as I am probably already on shaky ground modifying the base missions. Contains the following showcases Infantry SCUBA Vehicles Helicopters Combined Arms (Co-op 8) Commanding Night Supports Tanks Armed Assault Drones Gunships Fixed Wings Download Patch 3 Mega Armaholic Steam Workshop Earlier Versions Requirements RHS Escalation (AFRF + USAF) Changelog Patch 2 Changes Gunships - Swapped Ka50 for Mi24V due to transport limitations on the Ka :( Earlier Changelogs Known/Suspected Issues I can't figure out how activateKey is called (it seems to be in a function outside of the mission), so the little green dot next to the mission will light up for the official BIS showcase if you play the RHS missions. I did it by hand both in the editor, and manually going through scripts and replacing the dynamically loaded stuff. I am working on a tool though that will completely automate the process. Expect an alpha version within the next week along with another major conversion project.

Presenting Patch 3! ------------------------------------------------------- Finals are over :) Thanks for all the encouragement guys, its good to see you guys like it! I'll be focusing on a more.... dynamic... way of doing the conversions. You should see something that players and mission makers alike will like quite a bit in the coming weeks!

Damian, you did a ton of leg work with unit selection! It looks good, I have to check out that CSAT mod for sure. I'm sorry I can't be as attentive as I would like. Patch 2 is here. I added the last of the showcases. I will pay attention to any breaking bugs, but it is finals week so I won't be doing anything serious until next week. There should be nothing game breaking at this point though. If everything looks stable next week, I will begin work on a related project that I think people are really going to like :) ----------------

Good to know there is interest, I'll post a few more tonight then :) Glad to see you are excited! Once I do the Showcases, I will probably move on to the West Wind campaign or work on a related idea that has been sitting in my head. I'll post to steam workshop once I have all of them pretty much finalized so I don't have to do too much fiddling / hear too much complaining every time I update. That being said, definitely report bugs. I'm not perfect, I may have even missed conversions (such as the scopes 5harp5hot pointed out in the Infantry Showcase. ) Yeah, I'm excited to see the next big update. Some of the missions are going to be done with the US Army as they are more complete. The scopes are the kind of stuff that I miss! Thanks for pointing it out. I'll put out an update containing a fix for this, and the next 4 missions, later tonight.

Script not found when mission is exported to singleplayer

When I make that change, it doesn't work in preview mode either. --EDIT-- I did the change wrong. When I do it correctly, it still works in preview, but it does not work in Singleplayer export. No error is being raised that I can see. --EDIT 2-- I was able to solve the issue by placing the command inside a trigger instead of an init field. Worked like a charm. Thanks for your help wak. -

Hi there, I have a mission that I made in the editor. On the player's init line I call a file called introDialogue.sqf using the execVM command as such nul = execVM "introDialogue.sqf"; This works in the editor preview, but when I go to export the mission to singleplayer, I get an error saying that the file cannot be found. I have checked the .pbo and everything is in there, and I exported the mission with the same name as the editor version. I am really at a loss here, any help would be appreciated. -
