    I remember in Arma 2 (I think it was 2) there was an EOD mod.

    You could use a speaker to warn the crowd to disperse (like in a town) when something was detected. You could also search people, randomly find intel - then arrest, call a helo for extraction. Kind like http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=16289

    There was also that EOD dog:

    Anyhoo - not trying to add to your work/fun load. Just see you as someone who might be good at recreating that sort of depth.


  2. Thanks for the suggestions I will give them a try.

    For the pilot not to react - Seems the solution I found in the past took several lines in the units init. I had even created a mission file with just the pilot to keep up with it. But lost the drive when it crashed.

    For flight height - In Arma2 or 1 someone created a way you could real time order the helicopter pilot to change altitude from high low. It helped when inserting troops to stay low and masked from SAMs. Or get to a location faster by staying high - out of small arms fire.


  3. Just an FYI from my experience. (same as ImCrazy) The lag happens on the main Arma screen. Like say when I exit the editor and want to shut down the game. Before I can use the Exit button (to fully exit Arma) the screen appears frozen. No background video, no sound, mouse cursor moves but nothing in the main menu is selectable for a minute or two.

    In game it works fine no "lag".

    Going to see if I have an older version of Lifter and see if it goes away.

    Non dev. version.


  4. This makes mission building so much more fun!!

    Maybe for the next change - or maybe not possible - ability to add a silencer to the Vermin SMG. It always wants to slot it to the pistol. No big deal, I just add it to my vest and manually put it on when mission starts.

    There used to be a mod you could detect the bomb, order civilians to clear the streets.

    EOD Dog too

    Arrest and pick up Mod -

    Arrest some one, cuff them, call for pick up helo.

    Helicopter Mods -

    Order AI flight altitude. You could order them to hover low enough to rappel down. Or fly tree tops.

    Order AI to hold position even if enemies are detected. Using this along with height one could use an AI pilot in an attack helicopter. Popup, lock target, fire, go back down behind cover.


  6. You have to enable Lifting first. To figure out how to, please refer to the included manual. :)

    It is able to lift anything valid, even if it has a crew inside. (Depends on feedback, if this option stays in)

    To lift something, you have to be close (2m on X/Y axis relative to your target, max. 5.5m in height) and not faster than about 3.5km/h. But these values are not final, they depend on the feedback I receive and may be altered with the next update or become freely configurable.

    Glad to hear that flying this thing is easier now. :)

    Oh my - Totally my bad. Embarrassing. I saw the readme and did not dig into the zip file deep enough to see the nicely created PDF. I bet it works like a charm. Will try this out when I get off of work later.

  7. This looks awesome. I remember trying it way back when it was a bit more difficult to fly. I can fly it fine now.

    I have read all of the post but still have not been able to hook anything. Maybe one of my other mods are blocking it or something. I will keep testing.

    I have been able to hover close to the ground next to the quad, beside the quad, over the quad....I do not get the "Hook" command in my drop down.

    Will this be able to transport a UGV Stomper that is not empty (when i figure out how to hook something)?

    Just playing in the single player with mission I create in mission editor.


    • I could not find the class name for the ear plugs to add to each solider (I make many soldiers playable).
    • I have had no luck disabling this feature in the config.....
    • Also where do I place the plugs for them to be of use? Seems I go deaf even with silenced weapons.

    Thanks look forward to using this.


  9. Again Greatest Arma3 App. to come along in all of the Arma series.

    Just to burp out an idea - Might be cool to have a few off duty types around. Like soldiers without all of their gear or weapons on in a town or base. Just like officers walking around or in a briefing animation. Just would add to the realism IMO anyways. Maybe not a ligit request but just something I had noticed that was lacking in missions.

    Just wanted to add o vote for non-empty UGV Stompers to be able to sling load. I read your post #90 and understand, but have been trying to custom load a Stomper then have it deploy with my team in a mission.

    Ehh just my little vote. :)
