Youve been great help so far. I was able to chat with some people in the arma community hub over on steam, and it seems to be a common issue there, both modded and vanilla. I like to keep my arma files (both2/3) clean and I dont to reinstall them, so I presume it is the new Patch causing it since I have no Modifications.
-
My arma 3 folder has 652 files, no pbo file in the root directory. I have not users or userconfig folder, and I have _CommonRedist folder (has the games directx and dotnet installers) 178 pbo files altogether.

Completely blank, no tool tip. I just want to check that this is a common anomaly. I haven't installed amy mods of Workshop items.

Hi, may I ask what the blank icon is in the expansions list? I seem to have a blank entry in the expansions list in an unmodded game.
-
I havent played arma 3 for a few weeks. I saw it had a new patch and I loaded it up. while configuring my settings, I came across the expansions section and saw a blank entry. It had the black circle to the left which could be ticked by enabling it. Clicking website on it did nothing. Is this because of the latest patch? I am 99% sure my game is unmodified.

In an empty world or multi player I keep above the 50s sometimes surpassing 60. On relatively demanding editor messing around with 100s of Ai I can keep around 20 or higher. Even toning down the settings until I get 100s of fps while keeping 1920x1080 and object detail, the lod distance is the same. It seems to be an age old issue with arma 2. Can I adjust the ram usage like arma2 in arma 3?
-
I've noticed that if I move let's say 10 meters away from an object the model quickly changes and loses a bit of detail, and maybe the texture changes. If I move further, maybe 20-30 meters the model goes from 3D to having just 2nd sides and textures. For vehicles, wheels may lose their curvature and have a dodecagon shape. I have all settinga on ultra, at 1080p, and generally keep above 20fps. Is the lod suposed to drop at a short distance? The objects don't become disfigured, but the changes are noticeable. Is this a bug or anot intended old feature? I don't have this problem on any other game besides arma 2, which was remedied by enabling default vram usage.

Sorry if this is the wrong section. I Am uninstalling ArmA 2, and all the dlc and expansions to reinstall. Along with that I will uninstall battleye, however the battleye that came with arma 2. In my control panel, I see two items, 1. Battleye and the other battleye for oa. These are both from oa and arma 2 as they were installed when I first ran those games. I am wondering, If I do this will it affect battleye for arma 3? As far as I know ArmA 3 and DayZ SA only have BEClient.dlls present in their installs, but arma 2 installs it as a program and a windows service. Can I uninstall arma 2 and battleye and it wont affect ArmA 3s and DayZs battleye files?

Concept for a new game using VBS/Arma engine.

Takistan life does quite a good job, and the Military Aspect works really well (especially adding in the roleplay aspect). -
* System hasn't had malware (and I hope it stays like that) * No cheats were installed on it (I'll definately keep it that way) * No Dodgy key gens ever installed. (or any .exes for that matter) I was just worried that if my GUID ever got out into the wrong hands that they could mess with it. Looking up solutions of this, cheat forums had come up in results of my searches, saying how they were looking for GUIDs to steal, and this is what alarmed me, and something about GUID/CD key converters. So if GUIDs were able to be used so easily to take CD keys etc, would alot of games be already gone seeming that Admins and players can see it in the chat and logs? And as long as my system is clean of malware, and stay away from hacks, I'll be fine?
-
So I don't have to worry about getting my key stolen? I'd hate to have to make another steam account to buy the game... I've heard about GUID spoofing, so I thought it meant if someone knew my GUID, they could use it and get me banned. But would they need my CD key for it to work?
-
So, I got banned on a server for an ingame reason relating to roleplay. I had to appeal on the website. In Ban Appeal application, one of the things listed was the GUID. I found it by joining a server. Now, If I'm correct the GUID has something to do with the CD key, and this has me worried. Is it safe for people to know your GUID? For example if a thief/hacker had my GUID, could my CD key be stolen and ultimately have me banned from Battleye? I have no malware on my PC, I don't use cheats or hacks. I am just worried that if my GUID got out, it could be stolen. I'm quite worried, as I have sent the appeal already. It is quite a popular server, on Enjin aswell. so if I put into straight questions here they are: 1. If a hacker/thief knows my GUID, is my GUID/CD Key in danger of being used maliciously, to be either used for hacking or sold fraudulently 2. Is it okay for people to know my GUID? 3. Also, my Player ID. Is it okay for people to know that aswell?
