  1. Hi everybody, Sorry if this thread has been created before - I have searched around, but cannot seem to find a solution that works. When I connect to any multiplayer server, whether via playWithSix, in-game browser, or command line parameter, I immediately lose connection to the internet. It appears local network is still fine (although not consistently so), mostly internet. All other devices on the local network still have an internet connection. Therefore, I think it is a problem with my router. However, this ONLY happens with Arma 3. I have tried disabling my firewall and anti-virus, to no avail. The router I have is a Netgear WNDR3400. The computer is connected over Wifi. On the router, TCP and UDP ports 2302-2305 are forwarded to the correct IP address for the computer. The firewall and antivirus on the computer is turned off (antivirus is Symantec Endpoint Protection). Oddly enough, when it IS on, I sporadically get the message that network traffic from svchost.exe was blocked. Don't know what service that could be...might be totally unrelated. There appears to be no firewall options on the router, although I have disabled Port Scan and DoS protection (seems to be the solution for everyone else who has had this problem before, but not for me...). NAT is open. UPnP is on. If there is any other information I have missed, I will be happy to provide it. Thank you very much to anyone who knows what could possibly be going on...Arma 3 is a great game and I'd love to be able to play some multiplayer soon! Cheers, aspyrx
  2. Thank you very much for your responses, I will try them out and see what happens. Unfortunately the router is physically too far away from the computer (separated by a floor), and I can't move it, but it didn't occur to me to give it a fixed IP. EDIT: also, the router appears to be on the latest firmware version. ---------- Post added at 16:50 ---------- Previous post was at 14:57 ---------- Alright, assigning a static IP worked just fine. Thanks very much!

    Arma 3 Inventory Overhaul

I think going in to too much detail is not worth the trouble/too much micromanaging. If we go all out in the inventory, what's stopping from overhauling vehicle driving so that you have to micromanage every little button and knob in the cockpit, etc...arguably these things are left out because they aren't fun anymore. They're just tedious. The simple additions (e.g. opening a weapon directly, better weapon customization) that will affect gameplay and usability in a positive way are cool. Not knocking on any of the other ones though. These are really cool ideas. Just my two cents.

    The Newcomers' Introduction Thread

Hi everybody, I made an account in order to find a solution to some technical problems I've been having, but I've been on the forums anonymously before and I have to say the community is rather nice. Also, if anyone has any knowledge on how to fix Arma 3's kicking me off of my local network every time I try to connect to a server, that would be great! I've searched around, but no one seems to have the same problem/the steps listed didn't fix it. I know this is the off-topic section, so as soon as I get my required second post, I'll make a proper thread in the troubleshooting forum. Cheers, aspyrx
