  1. Strangely, the very low-light conditions of moonlight and late dusk seem to be too dark. Under identical conditions (the exact same mission), a low-light mission will be darker in AiA-SA or A3MP than in the original A2 engine, and a mid-day sun-shiney day will be brighter.
  2. I've noticed that too -- the sun in all the maps seems to be too bright -- it is the same with the A3MP. I think I saw it mentioned some time back (maybe in the A3MP thread). Hopefully it will be addressed if enough of us see the same over-brightness.
  3. Add these files to your AiA-Standalone mod folder, overwriting where needed, and download the addons listed on the first page of the thread and put them in a mod folder also, like @units, then make sure it is activated with your AiA-SA mod
  4. So far, I find all the savegames working. Be sure you have not removed an addon between saving and reloading.
  5. I thought .kju already had the US Army replaced with AV_IndUS.
  6. In Arma 2, I once ran CWR2 and the Unsung Vietnam War mod at the same time, and in the CWR2 missions the Russians were speaking Vietnamese -- now THAT was funny! However, you're right, it was just not right and ruined the immersion, which is what we like about the Arma series.
  7. This mod is a work-in-progress and I would expect that such issues will be addressed.

Yes, the Thompson and Garand were rarely seen except very early on, but I agree with Alduric, why not include them. There were many left-over weapons around from WWII, like the .30 carbines, as already mentioned, used by both sides and by civilians, like the Montagnards. There were plenty of 'grease guns' around (much cheaper than the Thompson) but they were not official issue and were considered contraband. Nevertheless, my squad had one (was a pain in the butt to load the clips!). We also had a shotgun -- 12ga Remington pump, short barrel, same as those issued to police stateside (often called a 'riot gun') -- that would be good to see included. Alduric, why are you including North Koreans in the OPFOR? The ROK (South Korean) army was there in significant numbers for the BLUFOR, but I do not know of North Korea being in it. The ROKs were badass and were much feared and respected by the VC and NVA.

Awesome! Looking forward to this also!
  10. I'm with ya there -- waiting anxiously -- even jumping up and down sometimes :)
  11. .kju says the lighting and sun are broken on all maps until the update.
